Ben and Jake

Our Story

Naners was born out of a lifelong friendship and a shared passion for food and entrepreneurship. Ben and Jake, our founders, met as kids at summer camp, where they instantly bonded over creative ideas and their love for culinary adventures. Jake, who grew up immersed in Italian cooking, spent Sundays learning family recipes from his grandfather, sparking a deep love for food that he nurtured throughout his school years. Ben, on the other hand, had dreams of starting his own business, driven by his passion for cooking and a desire to bring people together through food.

After graduating from Northeastern University, Ben spent two years in finance, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was meant to do something different—something that combined his love for food with his business aptitude . Meanwhile, Jake graduated from Vanderbilt University before working in two of Philadelphia’s top restaurants. But after a series of injuries and surgeries, Jake was forced to step away from the physically demanding world of professional kitchens, leaving him unsure how to fulfill his passion for bringing people joy through food.

Luckily, Ben saw an opportunity, to revitalize Jake’s culinary dreams, to blend their talents and create something impactful. In the summer of 2024, they launched Naners—a brand dedicated to crafting healthy, gluten- and dairy-free ice cream sandwiches that people can enjoy guilt-free.

Our mission is simple: to spread joy, one bite at a time, with indulgent treats that echo the magic of Jake’s campfire creations while proving that healthy food can still be delicious.
